Launching paygap.fyi: The Sophare Global Pay Gap Monitor
We are excited to announce the launch of the Sophare Global Pay Gap Monitor, a public, data-rich view of gender pay gap reporting across the UK, Ireland, and France.
What you can do on the new site
The monitor is built for fast exploration and transparency. Here is what is available today:
Market overview by country
- A high-level snapshot of the most recent data, including total companies, average cents/pence on the euro or pound, improving vs. worsening trends, and the average composite score.
- A top 10 performers table to quickly see the strongest pay equity scores.
- Pay equity by company size, with a drill-down into the top 100 companies in each size band.
- A sortable company rankings table with grades, composite scores, and base pay gap indicators.
Company search and profiles
- Search any company with autocomplete and jump into a detailed profile.
- A single-page overview that brings together the composite score, trend score, current performance, reporting dates, responsible person, and a letter grade.
- Multi-year trend charts for mean and median hourly and bonus pay gaps.
- Quartile distribution charts showing gender representation across pay bands.
- Raw pay gap metrics and bonus participation rates, plus advanced reporting quality metrics and detected signals.
Industry insights
- An interactive industry heatmap to compare sector-level pay equity performance.
- Sector summaries with company counts, average scores, and average trends.
- Detailed company listings by industry, ranked with grades and scores for fast benchmarking.
Methodology transparency
- A full breakdown of the scoring methodology by country, with a consistent A–F grading system.
- UK scoring includes trend analysis, current performance, industry leadership, structural equity, reporting quality, leadership engagement and stability, and transparency signals, plus a fallback methodology when industry codes are missing.
- Ireland and France follow country-specific scoring models, including the French Index Egalite Professionnelle components.
